Are Stars Moving West Because of LeBron?

There is talk in the league that all of the stars of the East are moving West because of one LeBron James.
It really doesn't make sense to me. Why would a player choose to move to a harder conference just to avoid one player?
LeBron has had a lock on the NBA Finals since 2011. It there was an NBA Finals, LeBron was on the court.
Players are going to teams that will pay them the money and stay competitive. Also, the places out West are more attractive to work and play in.
The Eastern Conference is not known for wide-open basketball. The Western Conference has a different style of play and is in a more laid back atmosphere.
LeBron will probably going out West in 2018. The grind of the Eastern Conference wears on you after 15 years.
LeBron should have gone West earlier, specifically the San Antonio Spurs after the 2014 season.
The league will fix itself because of teams like Philly and Milwaukee. They resemble the teams our West.
Gordon Hayward has a choice to go East today. We will learn today what he decides, Boston or Miami.
Carmelo Anthony can go to Houston or Cleveland. The move to Cleveland would be the talk of the league, teaming up with LeBron.
