Know Your Rights

In the beginning, I was upset that Colin Kaepernick was still a free agent at the start of training camp. I didn't watch the NFL for a week. I could have gone forever. 

However, three things stood out to me:

1. The 49ers hired a new coach. Kaep was still under contract. They were not going to run an offense suited for him. He opted out. He was going to be cut.

2. He took a knee at games.  Games were still sell outs. People still watched the games.

3. Kaep has never come out against the NFL on his lack of employment. 

What Kaep has done is taken this platform and with his own money, visited youths around the country and educated them. 

He has taken a page from the Black Panthers and has gone to the community.
