The NBA Summer League is an event that takes place in Orlando, Utah, and Las Vegas each July. It is a chance for the new draftees to gain some experience as pros before the summer is over.

The NBASL is not for the other eight guys on the floor. The coaches are there to evaluate their draft picks. They can determine if they've made the right choice or did they blow it.

Don't be fooled by a rookie putting up 30 in a game in July. Can this same rookie put up these type of performances in the regular season? That's the question.
