Q: How did you get started in basketball?

AJ: I wanna say my background in sports started when I played a lot at the Boys and Girls Club. I can honestly say I fell in love with it when I got kicked off in 6th grade. My coach gave me my shoes and told me that I can try again next year, that's IF I make it again next year. I can honestly say I fell in love with it and I wanted to prove to that coach I can be better and do better.

Q: When did you know you were good enough to get a scholarship?

AJ: When I signed my name on that dotted line for the scholarship.

Q: Which schools were you interested in?

AJ: Just USF

Q: How did USF prepare you for professional ball?

AJ: They prepared me physically with the intense training. I can say we did practice how to talk to the media as well.

Q: Is there a difference in the style of play internationally versus playing in the United States?

AJ: I think the style is more finesse over there and over here is a whole lot more athleticism.

Q: How have you adapted to the culture of living overseas?

AJ: I adapted quickly so yes, just not to the language.

Q: What do you plan to do after you retire from basketball?

AJ: I really don't know. I guess probably coach high school or something. Retiring for me I hope in Gods plan is waaaay away from now

Q: What advice would you give a young player who wants to be great in basketball?

AJ: I would tell them to never give up on basketball that's if they really love the sport. I will tell them if they really love something to never quit and keep chasing it until they have reached their goal and once they have reached their goal they need to keep going after that.
