You May Think Kyrie Irving is Wrong, But the World Isn't Round

Flat-earth guy Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavs has demanded a trade. The No.1 pick of the 2011 NBA Draft has just finished his sixth season in Cleveland. Irving has been to three NBA Finals, winning once. From 2011-2014, he was the leader of the Cavs. After Kyrie signed a contract-extension in 2014, LeBron James returned to Cleveland.
The Cavs also traded Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota for Kevin Love. The front office started rearranging Kyrie's house that he thought he had the keys too. Now, LeBron would have a set of keys and would be able to change the locks in the house. It would be hard sharing a living space with LeBron James for Kyrie. Even though the win totals increased, his star-status was stifled.
Unlike Shaq and Kobe, LeBron and Kyrie both like to have the ball. They both like to have the ear of the locker room. Kyrie lost the locker room when King James returned home.
Many have their theories on why Kyrie wants to be traded. Here is mine.
I think Kyrie is a great player. He is not a pass first point guard. In this age, which point guard is? I think Iverson started a trend of play for point guards and we are still seeing this type of point guard play 20 years later.
I have felt that the offense should go through Kyrie, and not LeBron. I am not happy with Kyrie going one-on-one all of the time, but that is his game. I am also not happy with the bias towards the King. I feel like the King has carte blanche which is unhealthy for a team.
Kyrie wants the same respect as LeBron James. He is not saying that he is a better player, but he is not being allowed to be great because LeBron always has the ball.
The Cavs should let the offense go through Kyrie and let him distribute the basketball to the other guys. It would get Kevin Love more involved offensively. J.R. Smith would not feel the need to jack shots because Kyrie would set him up with good shots.
If Kyrie truly wants to stay in Cleveland and if the staff will give him the leading role, he will have to pass more and shoot less. That is the only way that it will work. Derrick Rose is now on the roster, so it will change the team dynamic even more. Derrick Rose is a starter in this league, a former MVP. He will want to be involved in the offense.
If matters can't be resolved, the Cavs should just trade him to New York and pick up Carmelo or whoever else is on LeBron's wish list (Eric Bledsoe). I do not think the Cavs will trade Kyrie; all of this tension will eventually die down before training camp. If not, we will see more drama than Real Housewives and Love and Hip-Hop combined.
