The NFL is Trap Music

The NFL has made the decision as a whole not to sign Colin Kapernick. Kapernick decided to kneel during the National Anthem throughout the  2016 season.

The fact is, everyone has ignored the reason for his peaceful protest. Everyone wants to claim he's not patriotic or not an American. Some say he should have not used this platform to protest.

Cops killing unarmed, innocent men in this country will continue to carry on. No President, Obama or Trump, has put a stop to it. Obama played both sides, Trump says the cops should not go easy on them.

The owners come up with excuses on why they cannot sign Kapernick. They rather meet with Ray Lewis and get the "pulse" of the locker room. Every team has a token, playing or retired. The fact is, Kapernick had an OK season last year (16TDs and 4INTs in limited action).

The other excuse is that "He can only play the pistol." How do you know if you have never tried to have him running any other offense? Are we back to the no-running quarterback era? That's a code word to say we do not want any controversial Black men leading out locker room.

Shannon Sharpe has kept it real during the whole process. He has used his platform well.

The players in the league have no voice. Some have spoken out, but none are willing to take a stand on injustice.

So, until Kap gets a tryout or a NFL job, I'm out.

No Kapernick, No Campbell

The NFL is hypocritical. They choose what causes that they want to support. Apparently, innocent men dying in the streets without cause is not one of them. I wonder how many of those guys were fans of a NFL team?

They rather support guys who get arrested or use HGH.

They rather give you a signing bonus instead of a guaranteed contract.

They rather franchise tag you instead of giving you a long term deal.

They rather you die from CTE and not prevent it.

You can spend all of your life trying to make the NFL and be out of the league in less than 4 years.

The coaches use you up in youth, high school, and college for your one shot at the NFL. All of those practices, all of that punishment, for what? To walk around and not remember what happened in a game? To ride the bench, when the booster's son is ahead of you on the depth chart?

Coaches have been stockpiling athletes at the running back, wide receiver, and defensive back positions for years. It's a travesty. They don't even think about putting them behind center.

The NFL is Trap Music with no way out.

No Kapernick, no Campbell.
